Well, I am currently a student at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg seeking a degree in photography with an emphasis in portraiture and a minor in business administration.
I grew up in the town of Moberly, MO which is where I currently do a lot of my photography work, under Courtney Tompson Photography
My passions are photography (obviously), traveling, shopping (what girl doesn’t), and just hanging out with my friends. This summer I am really looking forward to traveling to Italy, which will be my first venture to Europe.
The thing I love most about photography is being able to capture the moments you always will remember. I think what most has inspired me to be a photographer is my mom. I can’t remember a birthday, first day of school, vacation, and gymnastics competition that I don’t have some photo to document it and reminisce about. My mom was always there with her camera taking pictures even when no one else was. I love looking through all our old photo albums and can’t imagine what I would do if my mom wouldn’t have taken all those pictures. She helped create in me my love for photographing and photography in general. My goal with everything and everyone I shoot is to give that person the same feeling I have when I look at those old photo albums and all the times they represent. To me photography is the closest you can ever get to reliving all those wonderful memories!
